I really enjoyed working graveyard shift. If I could’ve worked just third shift instead of a swing I might not have left.

Thank god that’s not the case. My new job is much better.

I work graveyard shift. I’m here from 2015-0515 Monday night through Saturday morning. My days off are Sunday and Monday, but the way our days work is when I come in on a Monday night, it’s for Tuesday. USPS is silly with stuff like that. For example our weeks begin on Saturday instead of Sunday, and our time is done by “clicks” not minutes , and there are 100 clicks ever hour.

Well, I have gone from working a swing shift working 2/3 of the weekends to first shift only working one weekend out of five. That’s a good start.

Oh, and there was a 65% raise too.

I think I’ll make it work.

I’m at the upper-middle end of the age range and I’m still taking classes. Flight school in my case. I also have a couple of online courses I’m working on. One is to improve my Python programming skills, the other is focused on data management. Getting old is no excuse to stop learning.
